Richard Bernstein appreciates education.
As a blind man, he had to work harder than his sighted classmates throughout grade school and high school.
Rather than stopping there, he went on to the University of Michigan and graduated with honors.
Bernstein still was not satisfied. His extraordinary determination and love of learning enabled him to complete law school, pass a challenging examination to be admitted to the bar, and become a practicing trial attorney at the Sam Bernstein Law Firm.
Despite personal success, Richard Bernstein remembers that others still struggle to overcome barriers to obtaining an education. Therefore, he continues to be an outspoken advocate of opportunity for all.
