David M Cohen

Attorney David Cohen joined our firm in 1999.  He has actively practiced law since 1996, primarily as a litigation attorney. 

At various times, David headed our firm’s pre-suit department and co-supervised case intakes.  Additionally, he co-managed attorney Richard Bernstein’s successful campaign for the Wayne State University Board of Governors.

David received his B.A. and J.D. from Wayne State University, with numerous academic distinctions. After admission to the bar, he successfully tried numerous claims on diverse matters throughout the State of Michigan. 

His professional memberships include the Michigan Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association.  He is a past member of the American Inn of Court Society.

David is a member of the Michigan Paralyzed Veteran’s Advisory Board.  In the past, he assisted victims of abuse through volunteer efforts for the Women’s Survival Center.  In 2000, he shared the Jewish Home and Aging Services’ Volunteer of the Year award with co-worker Richard Bernstein, in recognition of their ongoing work with senior citizens. 

David and his wife are members of Congregation Ohel Moed of West Bloomfield and are active members of the community.
