Name of Product: Nordstrom “At Home” Taper and Votive Candles
Units: About 2,500
Importer: Nordstrom Inc., of Seattle, Wash.
Hazard: The candle's exterior coating can ignite, posing a fire hazard.
Incidents/Injuries: Nordstrom has received four reports of flames or smoke coming from the candle or the exterior coating. One instance of property damage was reported but no injuries have been reported.
Description: This recall involves Nordstrom “At Home” 10-inch taper candles and Nordstrom “At Home” votive candles. The taper candles were sold under style numbers NR-07059G and NR-07059S. The votive candles were sold under style numbers NR-07001G and NR-07001S. The candles came in silver and gold and were sold in a box of six. The style number can be found on a sticker at the bottom of the packaging.

Sold at: Nordstrom stores nationwide from September 2007 through December 2007 for about $18 for the taper candles and about $12 for the votive candles.
Remedy: Consumers should stop using these candles immediately and return them to any Nordstrom store for a full refund.

Hazard: The candle’s exterior coating can ignite, posing a fire hazard.
Incidents/Injuries: Pottery Barn has received two reports of the gold paint on the candle exterior igniting. No injuries or property damage have been reported.
Description: This recall involves egg-shaped and large and small round candles sold in three sizes. The candles were sold in green, red and white with gold glitter and leaf designs. The recall includes all styles of this candle, including style numbers 9444811, 9444928, 9444936, 9444944, 9444944, 9445214, 9445222, 9445222, and 9445313. The style number for the candles can be found on the price ticket under the candle.
Sold at: Pottery Barn stores nationwide from September 2007 through December 2007 for between $10 and $20.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled candles and return them to any Pottery Barn store for a full refund.

Hazard: The candles can burn with a high flame, posing a fire hazard.
Incidents/Injuries: Wick & Petal has received seven reports of the candles burning with high flame, some resulting in minor property damage. No injuries have been reported.
Description: This recall involves all Wick & Petal jar candles. The candles have a cylindrical shape and a chrome lid. The lid has a white label with a picture of the fragrance, the fragrance name, and “Wick & Petal Co.” printed on it.
Sold at: Select candle retailers and craft fairs in Indiana from October 2007 through December 2007 for between $8 and $18.

Hazard: A short circuit in the lamps’ wiring can pose a fire hazard to consumers.
Incidents/Injuries: L G Sourcing has received two reports of lamp fires. No injuries have been reported.
Description: The recalled lamp has a black steel frame and a bowl-shaped light fixture. The item number 179878 is printed on the packaging and the bottom of the base of the lamp. Only lamps sold between March 2005 and October 2007 with UL listing number E246506 are included in the recall. Lamps marked “ETL listed” are not included in the recall.
Sold at: Lowe’s retail stores nationwide from March 2005 through October 2007 for about $17.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled lamps and return them to any Lowe’s retail outlet to receive a refund.

Name of Product: Model Year 2007 Honda TRX 500 ATVs
Units: About 46,000
Manufacturer: American Honda Motor Co., Inc. of Torrance, Calif.
Hazard: Water can enter the throttle position sensor and freeze, causing permanent damage if the rider forces the throttle lever. This could cause the throttle to stick open, posing a risk of injury or death to riders.
Incidents/Injuries: Honda has received two reported incidents of the throttle sticking, no injuries have been reported.
Description: This recall involves Model Year 2007 Honda TRX 500 ATVs, also known as the Honda Foreman and Foreman Rubicon. The adult-size ATVs are designed for use by riders age 16 and older. The 2007 model year ATVs are available in red, black, blue, olive, and camouflage. The Honda name and wing logo are printed on the fuel tank and the model name is printed on the side panel just below the seat.
Sold by: Honda ATV dealers nationwide from June 2006 through December 2007 for between $6,500 and $7,600.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using these recalled ATVs and contact any Honda ATV dealer to schedule a free repair. Registered owners of the recalled ATVs have been sent direct notice.
